Our 2008 - 2009 Concert Season:
In our 43^rd season, we offer three wonderful concerts, each presenting a delightful and engaging program guaranteed to please!

Rehearsals: When: Tuesday evening, 8-10 p.m. Sept. 2, 2008 to June 2, 2009. Venue: Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lee & Thacker Streets, Des Plaines, Illinois (Map It) Concert One: Candles and Carols From the lighting of the first candle to the final celebratory chords, the cantata The Christmas Light retells the timeless story of Christmas in a way that's both simple and uplifting. This, coupled with beautiful and imaginative settings of your favorite seasonal carols will transport you to a place of wonder. When: Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, 4:00 p.m. Venue: Edison Park Lutheran Church, 6626 N. Oliphant Avenue, Chicago, IL (Map It) Concert Two: Brilliant Brass, Proud Percussion, and Beautiful Bells Join us for some of the most exciting, festive, and celebratory music ever written for chorus, brass, percussion and handbells! Thrill to the glorious music of great composers such as Bach, Handel, Gabrieli, Rutter, and Mendelssohn. When: Saturday, March 28, 2009, 7:30 p.m. Venue: Edison Park Lutheran Church, 6626 N. Oliphant Avenue, Chicago, IL (Map It) Concert Three: Folk Fest The NWCS will take you on a musical travelogue with folk music from around the world. Listen and enjoy how countries like France, Italy, England and America express their times of happiness, love and intrigue through music. When: Saturday, June 6, 2009, 7:30 p.m. Venue: St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 306 S Prospect Ave., Park Ridge, Illinois. Parking is available on the street or in one of Park Ridge's Uptown parking lots. (Map It) Concert Three: Folk Fest Encore! We repeat our Folk Fest concert. When: Sunday, June 7, 2009, 4:00 p.m. Venue: Trinity Lutheran Church, 675 Algonquoin Road, Des Plaines, Illinois (Map It) Please note that seating for all concerts begins one-half hour before each concert.
